During The Civil War, Kevin’s great-great-great grandfather protected DC as a 2nd Lieutenant in the District of Columbia Infantry; part of The Union Army's 5th Battalion.

The 5th Battalion was specifically formed to protect DC.

Continuing the legacy, his great-grandfather, Thomas, provided essential services to Capitol Hill through his horse-drawn milk delivery business!

DETERMINED, UNSHAKEABLE, KIND, RELENTLESS

Stalled 37 years, the McMillan/Reservoir Park Development opened June 2024, in large part due to Kevin’s ability to soften decades of divisiveness, unite the surrounding community, and get the project done.

Health and sustainable urban living are huge parts of daily life for Kevin. He not only advocates for a healthy lifestyle but embodies it. Kevin has not missed a day of running in over 15 years. He walks, bikes, buses, and metros whenever possible.

IMPORTANCE OF ONE-ONE

“One is never one.

Every resident represents more than just one individual. We are friends, neighbors, family members, and colleagues.

When we view each resident in every ward as a friend or family member, we open our eyes to what is needed to make DC the best it can be.”

- Kevin
